I was crusing another forum (entirely by accident lol) and there was a discussion on Lumiquest soft box, mini soft box, bouncer, pro max and other Lumiquest products. Including some new "soft screen" gadget used over the on camera flash. Has anybody used thes? Have you had any success with them. Seems like they may be a good portable solution to hard lighting. If you have used them, in what situations have you used them?

Lumiquest Ultrasoft.
Works well, significantly different and better look than direct flash.
Use it when there is no way to bounce the flash. I'd rather use no flash at all.
The exposure is a bit tricky. It eats a lot of light, so you've got to watch your subject distance and stay away from long focal lenghts. I had problems with the SB600 flash, 70mm f/2.8 trying to get some headshots.

I have just ordered a Lumiquest Softbox to go with my Canon 420ex flash, hopefully it will work well.

I am looking forward to testing it when it arrives.
