Some pics from a recent walk up Auch Gleann situated between Tyndrum and Bridge of Orchy (for anyone who knows the area).
It`s a relatively little known glen, which is surprising as it has many attributes. It provides access to a few mountains at the end of the 4 mile hike up the glen which requires many crossings of the Allt Kinglass, (thankfully, the river was very low when we walked the glen which meant fairly dry feet for most of the day.)
A climb of almost 3000ft up Beinn a` Chuirn then a 6mile hike back to the car completed a very enjoyable day.

Looks like very peaceful country. Nice shots capture it well.

I have dreams of vacationing in Scotland one day. It's actually one of the few goals I have. lol
Some really beautiful photos here and some pretty serious hiking in order to get there. It seems like it was well worth it.

Thanks to all for the comments.
The thing that surprised me most about this walk was the fact that we never saw another soul on the track all day.

(Laura)..Most years the weather is pretty dodgy over here..but we`ve had an exceptionally dry and sunny summer this year. Anyone who decided to visit Scotland in 2005 should have great memories.

I hope it lasts a little longer as I would like to get a few more walks in before everything goes pear shaped :)

(Gordon)This one`s for you :)

Wonderful series Gordon, almost as nice up there as the lakes :)

Envious of that lense, pity it won't fit my ol 10D.

Great place to take photos, hope to find some place like that. The 4th shot is amazing.
