This full frame uncroped, I am always amazed by this lense. I wish you could see the original to see how sharp it is.

Wow, Ty, very nice...I've always wanted to shoot more macro, but only for fun. What were your settings on this shot? |

What is the EXIF data? It looks like low light so you may have had to shoot it wide open, but the DOF looks paper thin. Is this worse with the 60mm than with the 100mm?
Thanks for including an uncropped pic, seeing neat macro shots people post which are cropped helps little in making decisions about lenses. |

I added the exif info to the photo.
From what I understand two things affect DOF focal length and Aperture. So the 100mm at 2.8 should be even thinner but it may be a very slight difference, I have heard great things about the 100mm but I like my 60mm. If you shoot film at all the 100mm would be more useful since the 60mm is digital only.

60mm has significantly more DOF at a given aperture than the 100mm; it's actually quite noticeable at 1:1 macro focusing.
