Hey,
I'm considering a major purchase, and two of the best prices I can find are from
ExpressCameras.com
BestPriceCameras.com.
Has anyone had any experience with either company? Good or bad? Thanks for any advice, endorsements and/or warnings!

Remember if it looks too good to be true then AVOID like the PLAGUE! These outfits are nothing more than Scammers. Check the prices at reputable sellers like B & H, if their prices are waaaay below those at B & H then beware...

Thanks doctornick. Those ratings are, how shall I say it, "less than good". Good to know! B&H and Adorama were only about $100 more than these guys, so it wasn't that much of a savings, but it would have been nice...

Yup. B&H is pretty much as good as they get. occasionally better.

Yes. ExpressCameras.com is a scam. They sell non US version without bateries and try to push other stuff on you. Don't do it!

I shopped around before picking up my Z3 and ended up buying from Butterfly Photo.
I've purchased from B&H and Adorama before as well, but they were substantially higher on my last purchase.

Personally, I'm a big fan of epinions.com when it comes to making online purchases. If you are unfamiliar with it, it brings up a list of stores selling your item and allows you to compare them by price. It also lists stores as "trusted," so you can see which ones have proven to be safe. But just as everyone here has been mentioning, B&H Photo comes up a lot here as one of the best prices and as "trusted."

Checked out the epinions.com (I was curious) and it was interesting.
***Disclaimer, I'm not promoting any of the following as I've purchased from all three - just thought the results on epinions.com were interesting.***

I bought my G5 from Butterfly as well. They did send me an email and ask me to call to "verify my credit card information" when they actually wanted to try to sell me some accessories. I called, but I didn't buy any extras. Unlike some places I've heard about, they still shipped my camera out quickly. Overall, I was quite happy with them.

That's funny (or maybe not)...I didn't get an email, they called me to 'verify' my shipping address. I'd forgotten about that. I did remember that the price was about 15% lower that the other two places at the time...

My personal preference is //www.resellerratings.com/. They makre more of an effort to insure that posts are legit.
