No fair! I live in San Francisco and it won't be raining here for at least two or three more months. Snif!

Okay, in all fairness, I probably wasn't going to enter anything anyway, but there's nothing like a little righteous indignation once in awhile. :-)

You're just not using your imagination. I "rains" in the vegetable section of my local Safeway about every 12 minutes, complete with thunder sound effects and flashing lights so if feels just like the real thing.

Want to join us at the Academy of Sciences on Saturday, 8/20? They have an exhibit on chocolate ...

but i wont dare take my camera out in the rain so how am I supposed to do this? does the plastic bag method really work?

2-gallon ziploc baggy. Cut a hole in the bottom you can strecth around your lens. Plenty of room for your hands inside, and you can use the viewfinder too. Works with anything but Big Glass.

It's rained here (Arizona) for the past three days, and it's forecast for the next week. It's monsoon time! BTW, great lighting storms this time of year (hope I didn't give away my plan).

Also, those UPS envelopes (the plastic ones) work well as camera ponchos.

Can someone please do a rain dance? We've been in a drought (not real typical for this area).

oh screw this - I was determined to enter the next challenge no matter what. But it hasn't rained here in about a month - and probably won't for another month.

Couldn't have asked for better timing - at least if I am to believe the weather forecast. We have been in a drought for pretty much the entire summer. Trees are all droopy, grass half brown - lousy for taking beautiful outdoors shots in the summer. But - the weather guy has predicted rain tomorrow and Wednesday! I sure hope he's right.
