Who is determining the winners here?

Well I received another offer to further sweeten the deal khdoss has chimed in with the third place spot gift membership.

on my calendar today is the 3rd of August, 2005. I will make the deadline 6 p.m. est (gmt -5) Saturday August 6th that way the new member should be able to compete in the next members challenge posted at the close of Illusions.

What a lovely idea! Kudos to you generous folks...

Just curious, Alienyst - what prompted this?

PS I'm not posting to apply - but just to say how sweet I think this is.

Perhaps there are some students who could benefit from this or users in countries were the weakness of their currency makes $25 quite a large investment?

I have an idea...you could have the candidates post a pic to this thread: their intrepretation of a plea for their case, and as always, be creative :-)

...or you could just put them all in a locked room and the last 4 people standing win !!! :-P

To taterbug: I thought about that - the photo thing - but didn't want camera skills to be a part of it.

To Kavey: I was reading over past comments on pics I have received and then the current ones and noticed that on Member Only challenges I have frequently received comments by NON members. I figured if they were interested enough to comment on pics during challenges that they cannot vote on, there must be a reason why they are not a Member and since the most stated reason I have read in threads is money/ability to pay, this eliminates that.

Hahahaha...I joined up last year and then got sidetracked....didn't get a chance. So when I tried to join this year it said that I was already a member and have been posting since...oops!! Sometimes life leads you astray.

And yes...definitely an Aussie chick...LOL!!
