Wow! jpochard - amazing pics! Wished I coulda been there.

So, I have scanned through all the threads and cannot find where the name "NotaCon" came from or what it means. So I'll ask the stupid question............?

It was a tongue-in-cheek reference to how large this outing was becoming (i.e., a convention).

Not only that - if you look at the speakers list here, you'll notice that the first thing on the list (or first three things?) is photography.. how about that for a coincidence?! I googled notacon, found that site, and really did think they were going to Ohio!

I converted a bunch of photos from the trip after work. I think the cheetahs are cuter when they are not ripping into a rabbit, but they were the best shots. Be warned.

Also, I can't seem to figure out if Lang was adjusting his glasses or flashing me a gang sign - either way tho I like the shot :-)

Again, I had a great time folks. I just wish I had more photos!

Great shots from everyone so far! I'm very regretful of the fact that I didn't shoot more pictures and talk to more people than I did. Needed a damn week to enjoy all of your company.

Will be posting pics at some point in the next few days. <3

yes, a thousand thank-yous to the organizers of the event. as the silver medalist in distance gtg-ing this weekend, i'm thrilled to report that i had an excellent time and it was more than worth the trip.

extra special shout-out to steve (mcrochip) for hosting this raucous bunch, to clara (blemt) for the generous donation of floorspace, and to courtenay (dahkota) who had the great idea to get us away from the tourist junk and into some of the more streetwise portions of dc -- and for hauling us around in air-conditioned comfort!

you've all seen pictures of everyone's mug, and tons of postcard-quality images of the sights you'd expect. i went a different way when choosing shots to upload and hopefully these are different than most of what you'll see:

too many more shots are here: //www.bigfatdynamo.com/galleries/dc05/

thanks again! i'm glad you like the t-shirts! :)

Nice change of pace there, Muck. The one disappointment of this GTG was that we had to split up into groups, so there were some people I barely saw. I didn't even recognize jpochard, though I'm standing right next to her in the group photo. :-(

I just added 20 more shots to my PORTFOLIO, including these...

I'll photoshop it out when I get home. Anybody else want to take a crack at it?
