After 3 months of having absolutely no time for photography, I found a free morning to help Katie with some photos for her portfolio. While it's clear I'm a little rusty, I think what is missing most from these images is 'intent'... they don't communicate much except that I enjoy taking photos. As always, your thoughts and ideas are greatly appreciated!

Edits:
-> Cropped the second image to bring the focus back to Katies face. Thanks AmiYuy and KevinRiggs.
-> Removed the 3rd image.
-> Removed grass from Katie's nose. Thanks Gil P

They're all gorgeous, I love the sepia tone on the last four.

My favorites are the first and last because of the lighting. The cropping on the first is awesome.

The second one could have been even better than it is by not having the top of her head and hands cut off, and maybe some more space around her, or if you want to go the opposite direction, get even closer. I can't tell whether I'm supposed to focus on her beautiful face or her breasts with the way it's balanced right now.

And this is of course, my amateur opinon. ^^;;

You're absolutely right! I like her face and the way her left eye is still sharp while looking through wisps of hair, but the overall images is weak and bring down the entire set.

All quite nice, apealling control of light and very nice model direction.

I would caution about bacl lit females...as it often reveals more body hair than they would care for us to see.

and I would certainly consider removing the piece of "nature" that seems to be sticking up her nose in the last one

Excellent photos. Had you have some more light so as to play a bit with shadows and not have such flat light, the results would really be greater!

I have to disagree with that one... the light is what is making these shots.

How did I miss that!! I need somebody to proof view my images for obvious mistakes before I post them. A quick adjustment and everybody will think you were seeing things.
