I'm trying to replace my old 35mm tripods which are very slow and clumsy. Anyone who could give me the benefit of their experience in this area, would be appreciated. As I stated in the previous thread on this subject, I would like to get an allpurpose tripod for the timebeing. If I should be buying more than 1 tripod for various purposes, please tell me. I do mainly outdoor shots. I presently have a nikon 5700, but plan to add a D70 in the near future, so I would like something which is heavy enough for the D70

yes it was most helpful, I guess I was wrong, but I tried to follow the rules as I understood them. I have never entered a fourm before and apparently I don't know the protcol. Sorry if I have offended anyone!

No offense was taken. Just pointing out another thread about tripods. If your questions are not answered in that thread then feel free to keep adding to this thread. ;o)

Get the sturdiest one you are willing to carry. You would be surprised on how much sharper your photos will be when the camera is Rock Solid..
