Got my book and got my blog set up as well. It's also Friday, so I have a whole weekend to catch up with the rest of you!

So far everything is fixed/replaced except for a leaky connection on the dishwasher. I did all of it except for the water pump. Oh, and the garage door opener sensor needs adjusting...perhaps this afternoon.

Yikes!

When you get done, you think you can start on my back yard? : )

I should also be posting some experiments and getting caught up this weekend.

Does anyone know where that picture of the clothespins and the kids jumping is? I thought I saw it here earlier, and now I can't find it.

Isn't that what kids are for? ;^) Just kidding (mostly). Look forward to seeing rule breaking experiments from both of you.

I'm not handing over the machete to an 8 year old ... the authorities might frown on that.

Just got my Blog up. Being something of a Luddite, I may well have a little trouble getting the group link thing set up, but I'll give it a go later.

I'm home tonight and tomorrow and away for a week at least in Scotland from Sunday. After that, I go to France for a fortnight. I'll try really hard to find internet access so that, at least, I can keep up with everyone's take on the exercises, even if I don't comment much.

I'd just like to add that, if just the thought of this workshop has inspired anyone else as it's inspired me already, then there are going to be some wonderful photographs made (purely uncompetitively, of course).

Glad to see more joining in. As a reminder, please visit each members blogs, read the comments of others, and leave some comments yourself. That's the point of having a small workgroup. It's key we treat everyone's experiments as our own and try to learn from them.

OK, I'm being lazy again, and instead of going to the blog site and finding out I'll ask here:

How do you get the links for the other blogs on your own?

07/29/2005 02:53:02 PM · #113
Hi all. Just food for thought, but I've found it easier to comment when the settings for your blog puts up a new window for commenting. If you go to the dashboard (I think that's what it's called) and go to the 'Comments' tab - you can change a parameter to allow popups.

Not everyone likes them I know, myself included, but in this case it's quite useful.

Ursula, scan down this thread. I have posted instructions much earlier, and I gave an update on the code today, and I just updated it again, below, so here it is again:

Go to your editing page, there should be a tab called "Template"

Scroll to the bottom of the edit field.

Now start scrolling up, look for the "End #profile" comment. This is how mine reads. You can copy it into yours, replacing what's there, starting from the h2 tag and ending at the tag.

Now be sure and change the links to My DPChallenge Profile to your own, and the my Prints for Sale, to your own. Or just delete them if you don't want it.

Now to publish, "Save Template Changes" and then select Republish in the text " You must [Republish] your blog to see the changes.".

We need to add new members to this list as they come aboard, but I think it will be easier with the above instructions in mind. You simply have to add a new list item for each, e.g., add a new:
  • persons-id

Thanks, Neil and glad! See, that's how lazy I am, I didn't even bother to check the thread for that info :)

I just updated my recent post again--see the new links including you, Ursula.

Hey remaining team members. Get your Blog! I'm getting tired of editing the links one by one ;)

Heads-up ursula - the link for suprada isn't working yet:
    //www.dundubhi.com/blog

It's not broken on your blog, it's broken somewhere else and she said she would be checking it out tonight. In case you missed it in the thread earlier. ;^)

OK, Barry, thanks! I just copied the little vertical line you have between the links in the signature, it's nice that way.

I have a question. I added a forum signature today, and I don't see it here on my posts, though it shows up on my profile page correctly. Do you see a signature. (Watch, it will finally appear after I post this...)

There's a tick box when you post to turn your signature on.

Just updated my blog with a further attempt at breaking the 1/3 rule and the one for breaking the 'use the lightmeter' rule
