He road three times as far as I did. I logged 1500 miles total. he did 1700 just on the way home to Texas. Though reminds me of Hoopty and I’s with the crazy mileage.

Anybody use these guys or something similar to auto bid at the last possible moment?

I always seem to forget exactly when an auction ends ore need to be somewhere else. This way I could set it up and forget about it. It is 45 bucks a year. I’m some what leery about giving some other company my ebay account info/

I would never use a serice like this, but I never bid until there is about ten second left to the auction. Why bid early & inflate the price?

I use Phantombidder.

You can set it to place your bid as few as 2 sec before the end. The best part is that I can bid at the last minute without staying up until some unreasonable hour to do a last minute manual bid.

Another useful feature I find is the ability to group auctions so that it will automatically bid on the next one if you get outbid on the one before it.

Manual sniper, usually within the last 10s to account for possible server delays. It defeats the purpose to pay money to have someone snipe for you...

What happens if two people are using this software on the same auction?

EDIT:

If two of your clients bid on the same item, how do you decide in what order the bids are sniped ( entered )?

Powersnipe will submit both bids at the same time and the person who entered the higher maximum bid will win.

Sniping programs can work. But paying to subscribe to a service is not necessary. Their are several programs available, maybe even some freeware, that will do the same thing from your own machine without involving a third party. Whoever thought up the scheme to get people to subscribe for sniping must be laughing all the way to the bank.

Thanks, I registered with Phantombidder and it works quite well. It is easily worth the 0.50 cents for an important bid. Keeps me from having to be there at the end of an auction but even better keeps me from forgetting about it all together.

My dad always gets my to bid on things at the last second and those programs totally ruin the fun!
Man, I open two windows, but on some funky choral music and get into it. :-)
