A good idea might be the State Fair. Great oppertunity for candids, and tons of additional things to see and do. Looks like the fair is mid-August.

I'm on the OH/PA border just south of Youngstown. If you're doing something near Akron/Canton I'd be interested in representing PA.

I'm in Eastern KY and Columbus, Cincy, or even Dayton are definitely in my realm of possibilities.

I would love to go too =) I live in Columbus...anywhere not too far from here would be good to me =) Cleveland, Cincinnati...I love Hocking Hills...u get can really good pics from there!

I am going to propose Hocking Hills in the fall. Since I am new to Ohio - any suggestions as to when the colors would be good in this area?

Hey...sorry I lost track of this thread or I would have continued with the balloon idea. I did go yesterday and got some pics I've posted.

Hocking in the fall is wonderful! I would suggest mid-October, either the 15th or 22nd.

I saw your ballon pic - left a post in that thread. We are going there in the morning. Hope I can get some good shots.

These dates are far enough ahead that they sound good to me.

I'm interested. Problem is finding a free weekend. Right now I'm looking at only having August 20th or 21st free. Most Friday's are good, though. Who's in charge? and NO it's not me!

The problem here is that Ohio is a big state. Maybe there should be some regional gtg, such as northeast, centrol, northwest, etc.

For me it would be very difficult to go anywhere other than NE Ohio, or even northwest PA

So lets set one up - NE Ohio GTG - cleveland/akron/canton/youngstown area - pick a date/locale and make list of DPC'rs that are close to there and PM them as well as a thread.

I;m just over the line in PA, and I'm in.

One Ohio GTG has tenatively been decided for Hocking in the fall, mid-October, either the 15th or 22nd. Sometime in September, I will begin to firm up this plan.
