my weakness is probobly checking my subject for imperfections prior to me taking the picture, like once i did this photoshoot with this girl and before she came to my studio she ate beef jerky and in all of the pictures she had beef jerky residew on her teeth and i had fun cloning all that out let me tell you
my strength... hmm not really sure what my strength is just yet, i have a hard time coming up with ideas on my own but when im around another photographer i come up with stuff im impressed with

I'm an excellent driver.............

I like honest, direct, no fluff criticism and I always question myself. For example, I still go back to old challenges and read reviews of things that I voted low but did well(outside of my opinions) to see what I missed and why or what other people found appealing. I've learned to open my eyes wider. This way I have been able to broaden my scope as a photographer.

I also think I have a pretty good eye for composition.

Strenght Willingness to shoot almost anything, anwhere, anytime.

Weekness Real talent. <g>

I make up for my lack of talent in sheer joy at taking pictures. If they are goodpictures...all the better. <g>

My strength has to be creativity. There's only so many times you can get your butt kicked by kiwiness before reaching the obvious conclusion... concept is king. I don't usually have panoramic landscapes, vivid sunsets or stunning portrait models handy, so I try to come up with an original idea and make the most of it.

My weakness would be lighting, but I'm working on it. I've had several shots claw their way to the top on creativity alone despite some pretty lousy lighting, but I'm starting to get the idea (even if it doesn't always show). If I ever manage to get lighting and creativity together in the same frame, I might have a shot at a *gasp* eight (I can dream, anyway).

Then I can work on that other weakness... restraint. I usually know darn well when a shot is going to bomb, but I submit anyway, lured by the sweet, irresistible call of the update button.

I would have to say that your lighting is very good; not really a weakness, even though you composition is excellent.

strength - portraits

weakness - nature landscapes (i just don't "see" the shot)

this is more general than most answers, but in terms of the "technical" part of photography - I just know what I know - I wouldn't say I'm strong or weak.

Strength: I understand my art

Weakness: No one else does

Strength: I like to read a lot about photography or listen to advice from those of us fortunate enough to really know what they are doing so I can improve.

Weakness: Put a camera in my hands, forget everything, turn into a snapshooter.

Stength: Coming up with the blue ribbon concept to win the challenge.

Weakness: It happens a week after the challenge closes

Weaknesses
Let me start with these as they are more evident!
1) Lack of stamina - I have back and hip problems and plus I am a lazy, unfit, overweight individual - I can't carry as much equipment as I'd choose nor carry what I do take with me for long. I will make some efforts for a shot I want desperately - I lay for half an hour on my stomach on cold, cold ground covered in penguin poo for a shot I wanted - but often I work in an unplanned way where I just wander around and shoot what I spot so that's not something that happens all the time.
2) Patience - I'm impatient and so I tend to shy away from the kind of work that involves lots of set-up and preparation. Studio photography does interest me but... not enough to overcome this deficiency in my character.
3) I tend to lean strongly towards simplicity of equipment (partly for those health reasons abovbe, partly because I don't want to waste time fiddling but just to take the shots) so I'm not good at utilising external flashes and so forth even when they could help me a lot. I'll use polarisers a lot but that's about the extent of it.

Strengths
1) I think I'm fairly good at seeing good compositions, I can look at a scene and find different compositions within it. Sometimes I'll try alternatives that don't work, of COURSE, but I have been told by others that I can sometimes spot a composition within a shot they have already taken that improves it (via cropping) or that I saw something that they missed in the scene infront of us all.
2) I have pretty strong photoshop skills.
3) In terms of subject material I think my strengths are in wildlife and travel photography.

Weaknessess :- I dont "get" anything. I just dont seem to sink it in. Therefore my photos dont improve. So to me that is a HUGE weakness.

Strengths :- See above, so i dont have any

But... isn't a "creative woody a weakness in the real world?

Strength: Awareness of natural light, good compositional skills ingrained, tons of experience, technically strong, post processing skills.

Weakness: not particularly creative (IMO), tendency to follow on my own quirky voice. (This latter is only a weakness in terms of mass appeal, however...)

Weaknesses: lack of patience as Konador mentions regarding self - lack of lighting knowledge, still on a learning curve regarding PS2.Interior shots - not my best and people shots - makes me uncomfortable - I hate having own my pic taken and it seems to carry over to taking pics of others.

Strengths: close up & macro work, Use of DOF, not necessarily interested in mass appeal, use of angles.

Strength: I keep trying

Weakness: Long list but, the most limiting factor for me is still learning how to use all the features on my camera. When I really want to try something new I read the manual and try to figure it out, but it seems like Greek to me. I teach computer classes so I am good with that kind of technical stuff, but maybe my learning the camera is like learning math for people with math anxiety. I know it shouldn't be such a struggle. I could get a lot better technically if I could control more of the camera's functions. Then there is the creative side. I'm not particularly creative, but I'm having fun trying. This site has been a great help in seeing things in other ways.
