This bear was seen trying to grab a snack in someone's back yard at the other end of town.

Wow! That is amazing! Great shots. But that's not a black bear, that's a REALLY BIG squirrel with no tail. :-) |

You think that's cool, I saw one riding a Unicycle through my yard yesterday while juggling squirrels. |

Doesn't count... he was probably just showing off to attract a mate. |

This is why you do not use 1000 pound rope to hold up a 10 pound bird house!

The birds that lived there may require counseling/therapy |

LOL - yes Black Bear are pretty agile for their size. They really will do just about anything to get to a feeder - especially if it has sunflower seeds in it. Sunflower seeds are amongst their favorite snacks.
Great shots!

Makes you feel real safe hanging those packs between two trees now doesn't it?

In 1984 in Yellowstone, a grizzly climbed a tree to get to a pack that was higher than this one, got the stuff out of the pack. Then tracked down the packs owner...well she died a grizzly death. That's really scarey. Van |

WOW *gulp*.
I'm scared to death of bears and after the last bear thread (last week) I had nightmares about being hunted by grizzlies in the woods. *shudder*.
I read an article in teh paper the other day about how wildlife officers in Kananaskis (Alberta, Canada) have found people who were killed and eaten by bears. Ugh. |
