Our son, Cory will be a Daddy in late September and our daughter,

Remember, it's a rule for grandparents to spoil their grandchildren.

Great news. ;o)

well as the gramma of 2, and not to mention I was too young to be a gramma, but that is another story.
Spoil them, love them, wind them up and give them back. It is the best of all worlds. Congrats!

Congrats!!! Enjoy it and remember being Grandparents is excellant payback for when your kids were rotton. Sending the grandkids home all amped up on sugar-Hehehe

1. Buy lots of noisy toys that simply can't stay at your house because the tots need them at home.

2. Feed them lots of sugar and caffiene and when they're all wound up, send them home.

3. Let them wear their best clothes and drink lots of red kool-aid and eat purple jelly and then send them home.

4. When your kids say "MOM!!! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS???" just smile and say "Payback's a biotch." ;)

Just kidding... well, somewhat. LOL

Congratulations and I wish you all the best in the whole wide world!!! :)

My Advice: RUN AWAY... RUN AWAY !
RUN FAR AND FAST (For the next 8 months, anyway).

This may be the last 8 months of peace and quiet you get to enjoy for a long time...

Congratulations to all of you!

A Fischer Price xylophone pull-toy makes a great present for a 2 year old. ;-}

Advice from observing my mother and my nieces:
1. You give diapers--but don't change them.
2. You disciplined your children--they can discipline theirs.
3. Nutrition is not your domain--cookies, snacks before bedtime, and allowing them to eat all the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches they want is.
4. You are allowed to kidnap them at anytime and take them to all the fun places before their parents do--and send them home all cranked up.
5. You are not required to stay home on weekend nights so the parents can go out--if you do, they owe you huge gifts at all the major holidays including on Grandparents Day.
6. They have their house rules (which you know nothing about)--and you have yours (which are so much more liberal that as soon as they can talk they'll be saying, "But Gramma Di let's me do that!")
7. Some people say that parenthood is the most wonderful experience in their lives--these are people who haven't been elevated to grandparent status.

Congratulations! And ENJOY!

That is soooooooo fantastic for you and your husband!!!!!!!

my advice is cherish with all your heart (not that i didnt think you would)
The thing my sons love best about their grandparents is that they have a
lolly drawer. LOL. Little treats waiting especially for them when we go visit. Sure puts a smile on their dial. :)

All I can day, di53 is there's no way you can be prepared for the all-consuming love that swallows up your heart for those babies! I've always loved babies, so I knew I would no doubt love grandbabies special, but when our little Abby was born, I realized, I had nooooooooooo idea how much love my heart could posssibly hold. I call it psycho-in-love :) My hubby and I are young grandparents too, and it is absolutely the coolest experience you will ever have the privilege of having!!!

Congratulations!!!!!!!!

Well, the time is getting closer... and I'll be able to hold my grandson by the end of the week, hopefully... My daughter is in the hospital with high blood pressure and they're probobly inducing tomorrow morning...

Keep them in mind, and send good thoughts floating on the breeze for them until my daughter has healthily given birth and he's healthily in his parents and grandparents arms!
