a+ hosting has some decent offers if you want to get your own url and host your own site. they've always been very helpful when i've been too thick to figure out the finer points of ftp and such ... i highly recommend them. :)

i'm not that good at spelling either, it seems :)

I would like a web hosting solution where I can control the access and trhe presentation. I Am using breewebrowser from breezesys to create my html pages, and then I just push globally all the pages.

So I like pbase but that would not suit my needs

Lionel,
I have no experience with them, but it looks like a very good deal: www.mysitespace.com.
For $3.95 per month you get 150 MB webspace and 4GB datatransfer.
(It doesn't tell how much it costs when you exceed the 4GB though, so you might inform about that before).

A warning...don't go with the too good to be true webspace offers. There are oodles of them out there and the server reliability is horrible. :)

lionel. You could try the functionality at www.blogger.com. You probably are not looking to create a blog as such, but the functionality allows you to load your own HTML pages and treat it just like a regular site. BloggerProPlus allows for cherap image hosting, too, so far as I recall. Reliable servers and a wealth of support folks on the web for blogger. Quite a good deal if it will work for you.

If you want to help support a fellow dpchallenger, I run a small web development company that also hosts sites...

For only $12/mo (about as cheap as you get for real web hosting) we've got good bandwidth, backed up servers, etc. You get a web site, domain, ftp, etc. and a real person to talk to!

Go to the following page for details.
//www.zentechinc.com/hosting.jsp

If you fill out the form (or email hosting@zentechinc.com and I'll read it) and mention dpchallenge I can also set you up with a *really* nice online picture album system so you just load the pictures up and it creates nice albums with thumbnails, etc.

Good luck,

Paul
