I'm trying to run an action on multiple photos (200+ at a time) but I can't get it to save the files automatically. It keeps asking me to press ok with each photo! I have the SAVE command in my action and I've tried setting SAVE & CLOSE in the batch process but I can not get it to do it! All I can do is get the action to not save the files and then I manually save them all after the action has processed all the photos! Anyone ever had this problem or know what can be going wrong?

Does the action itself have Save or Save As as one of the steps?

yes....the action does! But I've tried it with the save command in the action, and also with the batch options to SAVE & CLOSE but it is still asking me to click OK to save! I'm thinking maybe there's an option somewhere I'm missing. The manuals and help files all say that it should save!

Remove the Save step from your action list and use the Save and Close option in the batch processing window. It shoud run through your other steps, then save and close.

the folder you are saving the files in, is it empty ? or are you trying to replace the files ??
What I usually do when I create (record) an ACTION is to do every task, then save and close. After save and close I stop recording the ACTION. Then I make another ACTION to repeat the first ACTION and then I duplicate it as many times as I need...living the PC working while I go to bed....heheheh

The folder has copies of the files i'm working on in it so basically it is replacing these files (writing over). I just figured that if I put this in the action then it should replace them without asking all the time. Maybe this isn't the case??

I ran into the same problem, so I put the edge of my stapler on the return key when it promps for that step. Then it goes to the next photo and so on .
