Any would be welcome. I'll be photographing outside against roses if the weather holds, if not, someplace inside like a library.

Shari,
For a good graduation portrait, outside look for some side light. Since the sky light is overhead, try to find an alcove, overhanging tree brances, a deep doorway, etc. Have the subject hold something in his or her hands to bend the arms. Natural smiles are best so take a few different expressions. Flash fill is a last resort when an overhead sun lights the picture so keep your subject in the shade. Some digital cameras have a warming filter built in or a cloudy setting. Don't forget to get in the picture yourself.
