CIRCLE... sounds damn simple. I was like, "oh i can shoot almost anything with this vague challenge". but its Friday evening now and I have yet to have any idea. I want to shoot something that I'm pretty sure no other submission will be similar (my 2005 self-challenge) but yet fits the challenge.... darn!

It's as easy as double-posting. ;-P

I'm thinking of taking a picture of the "Man from C.I.R.C.L.E."

One of the main keys to this challenge will be, not taking a boring shot. Anything remotely circular will do fine by me, unless it's dull and uninteresting.

My aim exactly. Something no other photo submitted will be similar. Something unique and fits the challenge. call it a self-challenge :p

Hempster(hubby) and I had this discussion last night about how some of our ideas would be torn apart by the voters. We can see the comments ...
"Thats not a circle its just round."
"Your title is stupid"
Great DOF
Bad DOF
Better in B/W
Better in color
How does this circle meet the challenge?

With all that said we have circular ideas and will put them out there for all the world to comment.

I'm just wondering if someone submits a picture of a square & calls it "Thinking Outside The Circle"

Circles are everywhere you look, its easy. Just please make the shot interesting, no vinyl records or CDs laid on a cloth, no record shots of lenses taken in flat light.

How about this, sadly taken just a couple of days outside the challenge dates

"The Man From C.I.R.C.L.E."....

Interesting title. What does the acronym stand for?

I have a question, can it be a bunch of circles or does it have to only be one circle? I know stupid question, but the rate everyone is voting for a dnfc on the obsolete challenge I am a little scared to do what I had in mind for fear of getting bashed for not meeting the challenge in the circle one!

According to the rules "Take a photograph where this basic shape is clearly shown as a key element. This may be a circular object, or a group of items forming a circle."

So I guess you can have many circles, and those circles can form a circle too.. =P I think I will hop on a plane and go shoot Stonehenge.

Just submitted my entry, though it wasn't my original idea. I abandoned my first idea after deciding that I didn't want to buy all of the alcohol it would have required.

In case you're worried about my state of mind, it would have been a music-themed shot.

Yes... you can, it is a legal clean-up filter...as long as it is done to the entire image... go for it.. but use it wisely

I think it can be more than one, why not?

There was a challenge a few months ago called "wheels", that had plenty of circular shapes in it.
