Last year my wife and I drove up to Toronto from NYC and it was still mid-afternoon when we got there. Everyone was in the streets and hanging out. We thought, "this is some patriotic city!" When we got to the hotel, we mentioned how lovely Toronto was at first site and we were surprised that there were so many people with Canadian flags all over the place. The guy basically called us retards and told us it was Canada Day! We drove home in time for July 4th (you know, Independance day!).

Stupid Americans. =)

Happy Canada Day! Gonna have some Labatt's, eh?

"Canada is nice,
If you're fond of ice."

Have a great day.

p.s. Whose song?

This brings another song to mind...

In the land of the pale blue snow
where it's 99 below
and the polar bears go roaming o'er the plain

Happy Canada Day from the West Kootenays in Beautiful British Columbia! Not sure what we'll do this evening (maybe go see the fireworks), but we're having spaghetti for supper (you know, red and white :) )

We are celebrating Canada day with meals from all the different cultures (well quite a few at least) during the day. Fruits from all over too!
