An this is just a simple idea!
When you are in the voting process, we know how many votes had been casted, our photo average calification, and the comments.
Could it be possible to know the General Average Vote?

If you're gonna go there, why not an actual "current ranking"? Just because you have a 5.2 and the average is 5 doesn't really say anything (other than you're doing better than average). There might be 1 or 100 people between you and that 5.

Now, having said that -- I don't think it's a good idea. I don't think everybody would do it, but I can just see those (few?) disgruntled voter/contributors who would say, "Right! Place me below average will you? I'll show you..." And proceed to go in and lower all the scores so that they came out better.

Maybe I'm too much of a pessimist...
