I am interested in taking photography as a major in college, which colleges are highly recognized for their photographic courses?? Thanks,

Well next fall, if I can transfer succesfully I will be going to Virginia Commonwealth University. They have a photography/film department in their art school ranked 19th in the nation. It's a public university and tuition is low for in-state. I'm not sure about out of state though. //www.vcu.edu

You might look into The Art Institutes as well. They have several locations around the country.

here is a ranking. it is from 97 though.

i found mention that they did a ranking in 2001 as well but i havent been able to find it anywhere.
