I am impressed by the quality of entries to the multi-image composition challenge. I was aware that basically all entries would present between 2 and 5 integrated images, with an average of 3, since tripticals is the most common composition in this case. I wanted to try something diferent, and presented a multi-image composition that hides the fact and appears to be one single photo. BAD idea! One of my lowest grades ever; everyone seems to think I missed the point. My surprise is that if you really look at the picture, you would question it's factibility, and discover the photoshop work. My theory is that since the regular rules do not apply in this one, no one thinks of them. If I would send that same image to another regular challenge, I am sure I would get an immediate recommendation for disqualification... go figure...

Probably the problem is that the challenge mentionned explicitly a dyptich or a tryptich. I know it's not always easy when there is precision in the detailed description. It could work for you or againt you as a lot of voters tdo not read the forums or do not read the detailed description.

Wouldn't it be the hitchiker?!!! It took me a while before I noticed the second image and when I did, I scored it well. But as you say, when people think your submission doesn't fit the contest, they just score you low without second thought. I know the feeling, I'm experiencing it right now with a not typical multi-image submission.... ah well...

Hmmm...try not to mention specific photos before the voting is over.

I think some people approached the concept of "multiple images" as including composite images as well several separate photos on a background.
