wow cassette players, cant even buy those anymore... well anyway I kind of killed my tape of run dmc when I was a teen.

i was a huge Skid Row and Alice Cooper Junkie....if it had anything to do with either i bought it.

Definitely "Eric's Trip"...a small band from Moncton, New Brunswick. They were named after a song by Sonic Youth - which is another band that wowed me in my teens. Lastly, Archers of Loaf blew me away when I was in high school...

Depeche Mode was playing in my room since I was 9 years old and until today really. woah, that's a long time... I turned 33 last friday!!!
also Leonard cohen is regular in my place...
I had some Nina Hagen periods and Kraftwerk on other times...
interestint stuff really. but I listen to them all until today. Not much "nostalgy" feel to it

I was supposed to go and see them in Birmingham (UK) when I was ? old but it was the year that riots broke out in cities across the UK and I couldn't go:((

I miss the hiss, tape head cleaning and trying to untangle 20 seconds of your favourite track from the pinch rollers which would thenceforth have a garbled section: I am forced by nostalgia to add the garbling vocally over the top of the CD version of the track nowadays. ;-)

P.S. You can buy a nifty gadget these days for those like me with only a tape player in your car....it's a cassette-shaped device which has a wire which you can plug into a CD/MP3 player. You then put the 'cassette' into the player and Hey Presto...works pretty well

My 8 track (quad speakers even :) ) played the Eagles Hotel California for an entire semester. Just never took the tape out. It was on very low but if you were quiet you could here it.

The funny thing is my CD of Hotel California is missing... my 12 year old has it some where.

Rush - best band out of Canada
Van Halen - most inovative guitar player (DLR era)

Lots of other artists/groups, but these two bands were the most played. Ahhhhh...the days of long hair, or just having hair! :)
