This is from a news article about Photokina, the photo expo in Germany.
"Leading the way is Eastman Kodak who raised the bar for high-end digital SLR cameras to an astounding 14 megapixels and tagged on a mid-level price that, when compared to other contenders, is equally astounding."
Kinda humbling, isn't it?

I love it...:-)
It takes a giant like Eastman Kodak to force other giants into being more competitive with the technology.
Just like computer chip tech....
And Kodak makes their own sensors too.... |

Problem is that kodak has not been very convincing so far with their digital camera compared to canon minolta or nikon. I think that a good N megapixel is a better choice than an ok N*1.5 one.

FillFactory supplier of sensor for DCS-14n Photokina 2002: Belgian electronics company FillFactory has today announced that it is the supplier of the 35 mm full frame 13.8 megapixel CMOS sensor used in Kodak's new DCS-14n. "This new high-resolution CMOS image sensor is the result of a joint research and development effort that started about 18 months ago."
I think I might prefer the 11Mp Canon EOS - 1Ds full frame DSLR. Lots of interesting cameras being announced, it'll be good in a year or so when it filters down out of pro land.
