Here we go again!!!!! A title does not make a photo good nor does it make a photo that has nothing to do with the challenge fit!!! Easy scoring method: 1st time through meets or does not meet the challenge. 5 for does not 6 for does. 2nd time through best of 1-5 and best of 6-9. 3rd time through best of the 9's. Why can't we all do that? Scores would be so much more fair. There are so many sites to just post your work, but this one is CHALLENGE based.

Sorry....tension breaker.....had to be done.....I feel much better now, back to scoring.

I have to agree with you there too... And I'm trying to take into consideration that Decisions is a pretty tough thing to represent visually (I didn't enter this one), but some of these are fantastic photos of something that I can't even faintly associate with Decisions.

I am glad to hear that there are others who agree. I really feel there should be a standard score card for all of us to follow when voting, like a customer servive card.

Meets challenge 1-10
Photographic Quality 1-10
Overall 1-10

Then each photo gets a composit score.

I agree.

I've had trouble scoring from day one. I've always felt that scoring should be like olympic figure skating. Technical, artistic, etc.

I think it would actually be easier to do too. If a picture doesn't exactly fit the challenge but is very beautiful or inspiring, how do you vote, and likewise if the shot fits the challenge perfectly but is fuzzy, how does it rate? I can't just go with a gut feeling all the time because I feel different from day to day. If I had a simple system like this I think it would speed up the voting and increase the accuracy.

I'd like to be able to vote on all of them but I don't want to hurry and get sloppy. :)
