Hi,
Went for another bimble today & ended up at the "Swansea Show". Thought it would be a good opportunity to test the 350D in anger, still got an awful lot to learn, but really enjoyed myself, Burst mode is far too addictive (I think I may have to get an 8gb card...)

Anyways here are some of my favourites from the day:

Really happy with these action shots, they were belting it around the course!

And as promised (from the dog show) the hound, well a Mastiff anyway:

I hope you enjoy looking at them.
Cheers
MARK

WOW Mark, every one of those is a great shot! Very much enjoyed looking at them, and my favorite is the same as yours.

Mark - What is a "bimble"? ;^)

I really like this one - the sepia treatment on it is perfect.

These two are very nice also.

- Love the way the guys are leaning into the corner in the back!

Looks like you've got the 350D under pretty good control from here!

Nice shots, Mark. I've left comments on each of the horse ones.

The sport in your 4th and 5th shots is carriage driving.

really like this one, the ponies' intensity and the place you shot from, with the spectators as well.

They are all great, I love them. You could frame each one.

Wow - Extremely great shots. Nice work. I especially like the 1st 2. The 1st one is my favorite (horse jumping) - spectacular!! I know you're loving your equipment & playing with it. One day I hope to be in your shoes... :-)

Neat shots, especially the ones showing great action.

Would that be Swansea Wales or somewhere else?

Wow, I'm really taken aback with the response I got, and appreciate all the comments, they are all really helpful as I still feel I've got loads to learn with the DSLR, I had more "keepers" than I usually get, but came unstuck quite a few times, the whole DOF thing is something I find hard to control, and i need to practise my PS skills.

To answer a few questions: swansea is in WALES, its a beautiful place if ever you get the chance to visit! and a "bimble" is... like going for a walk and ending up where-ever your legs take you... if that makes sense!

Anyways, I've sorted some shots out that needed a bit more tinkering:

I really want to go more events now of any sort, next week the "eric prydz - call on me" dancers are coming to the University (where i work), I think the chances of getting a pass to shot that from my missus are slim to none :(

Thanks again
MARK

Commented on the new shots too. You definitely have a good handle on shooting driving / show jumping. I'm going to PM you in a sec too.
