I believe both of them a) know how those of us having a little fun here feel about them, b) have a sense of humour and c) have probably smiled at some of the ideas contained here.

I suspect photodude was being tongue in cheek, implying somewhat hyperbolically that D&L (Dingbat & LooneyTunes?) might exact their revenge on any who don't treat them with groveling obeisance. I hope so, anyway...

I think it stands for Gilbert & Sullivan.

They just use those other initials to confuse you.
