This morning I shot my 6,000th photo and was wondering how many photos have you guyz and gurlz taken so far ?
My guess is it's somewhere in the tens of thousands - or is it ? |

Adding up all the shots from all three digital cams in the last 4 years, 7265.

hmm.. cameralist..
kodak instamatik (or something) 3000 photos
Canon EOS 500N 7000 photos
Canon powershot G1 23000 photos
Canon EOS 300D Rebel 19000 photos
Canon 20D 17000 photos
all numbers are close to actual number.
that makes it 69.000 photos :) |

Sony DSCP32 - about 10000
Kodak DX-6490 - about 11000
Canon 300D - about 8500
Canon 10D - so far, around 4000

I am at about 45,000 to date. Last year I shot about 16,000 so far this year I have shot close to 13,000.
In 2003 we took a four month motor home trip, during which I took 13,000 photos, I was going through those making a slide show and I was wishing I had more to choose from. More photos more better.

Nikon Coolpix 4500 - over 12,000, and I still don't know what the hell I'm doing. :)

For me..
Sony: DSC-P72 (First) - 5000
Sony: DSC-P72 (Second) - 4000
Canon: RebelXT 350D - 7000
As long as we are talking about how many pictures we have taken.
One wonders, whats the MTBF for the shutter... is it a couple million?, (i would hope).

I have a Sony Cybershot 717, but I wouldn't know where to look to find out how many photo's I've taken. All I know a lot of them ended up in the deletion box, LOL.
You must be either pro's or really fanatic amateurs to have that many camera's on hand.

If you haven't reset the file number in the camera, then you can tell how many shots you've taken by looking at the file number the camera gives to each shot. |

300D: 64585 at the moment, but then again, as shannon has pointed out, that number is somewhat misleading...

Digital Rebel (first shutter) - 10018
Shutter fried, got it replaced, but it started counting at around 9850, and I'm up to 455.
Not counting the times I forgot my CF card...

After a year with my digital rebel, only 2824. When I think about it, it's a damn shame too. My old s85 is up to 3792.
So, about 6616 photos.

some will be copies, and a lot have been deleted but that is a lot of pictures for 2 years...

Probably only in the neighborhood of 2500 since I got into it. Who knows how many I took all my life, I wasn't counting...I guess I should take more pictures.
