I'm so excited. I've been a PC person my whole life and am finally dipping into the world of Macintosh. I just ordered the 1.67 Ghz 15" display Powerbook! It will come with the new Tiger OS. Chomping at the bit....

I hope you remain excited after you build up your confidence in using the new computer. It's a great product for photographers - with a clear screen and stunning graphic capability.
The core graphics inside the new operating system will amaze you - espacially as new graphics apps start to address it!. Assuming you are using PS - be sure to invest in as much RAM as you are able.

Best wishes!, Graham

You are going to have SO MUCH FUN! I love the powerbooks to pieces! I think you'll adjust to the Mac OS easier than you think, but if you ever have any problems, shoot me an email or something and I'll see what I can do.

Congrats on taking the leap.

I will address that there is a bit of a learning curve but don't be discouraged. The best computing day of my life was when my Sony Vaio laptop acted up for the 3rd time in as many months and we went and got an Apple PowerMac. I got the 17" Powerbook within a few months after that.

The thing about Apple is it becomes almost a lifestyle!

Congrats on the new PBook!

Congratulations! You are in good company: Bob D’Amico - chief photographer for ABC TV. Check out the setup he uses!

JV

P.S. I am hoping to make "the switch" soon.

Hey Chris, did this arrive yet... I'm in the market for one and wanted to know what you think. Have you experienced the issue with horizontal lines across the screen?

Regards
