I know I should take a screen shot of the top 10 right after the challenge ends, because I can never remember what the DQ shot looks like..
Can someone describe, without giving out the name or the photographer of course.. :)

I think it was another splash shot, one with a green apple and a blue backround and the green apple was cut into several slices. A shame about it being disqualified, I liked it very much.

It hasn't been fully coded yet.

ehhh they shouldn't do that, that would be embarassing if your dq'd pic got posted there on the wall of shame, and it would make people mad if their pic really wasn't illegally processed. you know what i mean?

How about an invitational challenge of all the DQ'd photo's?
05/26/2005 08:44:07 PM · #14
that would be great - except that the winner would automatically be DQ'ed.
:o)

As per our announcement on 03 January 2005:

Originally posted by drewmedia:

Second, entries which are disqualified for reasons other than ToS violations will now be visible in the photographer's profile. This is intended both as a benefit to individuals who were disqualified but wish to retain their comments, and as a deterrent to repeated disqualifications.

Once this is fully implemented, it will most likely be applied retroactively to all challenges that began on or after the announcement date. We will most likely allow photographers who had entries disqualified in earlier challenges to "opt in" to having their earlier entries visible. This option will be available on a user-by-user basis and not a photo-by-photo basis (that is, if someone has multiple DQ's it will be all or none).

Also, certain entries will remain hidden, including but not limited to Terms of Use violations.

-Terry

Here is the thread explaining my issues.

my mistake

All I have to say now is too bad for me. One more DQ in the top 3 and I could have ribboned too. =)

Congratulations to spydr on a 3rd place finish and to CeeDeez on a top 10 finish!

This is fun! It's like a whole new front page every day. What will be number three tomorrow?
05/27/2005 12:55:48 PM · #22
And yet, it is STILL a water type shot! :)

Can you give an example of a non-ToS violation that would still need to remain hidden?

Ah dammit. Now if I wouldn't have screwed up I would have had a ribbon.
Boy has this been a learning experience. (Don't screw up, you might end up winning after all is the lesson.) :bh
