I'm not a good example, so don't use me as a deciding factor, but I've made $6.45 on 2 prints (large prints). What means more to me is that somebody liked my photo enough to buy it. You get a real sense of accomplishment here when you sell your first one. In your pocket, $6.45 isn't that much, but if you look at it another way, you can get a few of your own prints made for that since you can buy your own stuff at the base rate. Or use it for somebody else's prints. Just try it and see how it goes. Best of luck.

I've made a whopping $162 in two years! Most sales were to people whom I know. Also, doing a few portraits for folks helped, since they added a photo or two of my prints to their cart when they ordered their own portraits.

I've also sold some by ordering them myself and entering juried exhibitions and other galleries--this brings my total up considerably.

Go buy my prints now! They are all great! Special today: Buy two, get two! (The two that you buy of course)

Why would you pay more than base price for your own images? You can reset to base, make purchase, then reset back to suggested retail afterwards.

10 bucks, but only been doing prints for four months.

$7.49 from 3 prints, two of which I added to dpcprints only after I got a request for print. So I have sold only one from dpcprints directly.

You don't have to reset the price. Click the thing that says order my prints and they are at base price there.

A big $0 for me so far, but if we had the option for private portfolios within in our store I could make a lot more use of DPCPrints. For example, if I shoot a senior portrait the subject may not want that in the public store but they would be willing to buy online through a private area in my store.

You're right rex. Unless the image you want printed isn't available in 'My Prints', for example a 6x12...then you have to set to base and reset.

My original thought when I posted a response was to the implied increase in sales brought about by purchasing your own prints. It sounded like the poster was buying his/her own prints at retail. That's the only way that $$$ would be increased from personal sales made by the photographer.

I've sold 45 prints through dpc. I haven't been selling to many these past few months though. Maybe it is a seasonal thing. My stock shots aren't selling as much either.

I've sold 15 photos which comes to $70.00 in profit sales. All of these have been by random people finding my pictures via internet searches from what I can tell.

I've recently decided to add a teeny bit of online marketing but so far I haven't seen any sales from it, though the hits to my page increased dramatically - granted this is only day 3.

I've been using dpcprints for almost a year and a half to give you a timescale.

Not as great as I'd like, but I don't really have any other options since my time is too limited to do it via my own website. I thought about smugmug pro but I don't see it being much different than here as far as getting the word out and the price isn't worth it at this point.

At least you have a nice range of interests being shown.

50% of mine are of the same photo - Rainswept Royal Street. The rest don't seem to interest anyone!

Zero, beacuse I end up spending the profit/credit on buying prints! lol
