thanks for the input. im not much of a coffee/tea drinker so i dont have too many mugs around. i think i should have used a plain dark mug. but hindsight is 20/20

Here is a shot I contemplated for a while before going with something completely different. How would it have done?

ok heres my granular outtake this is from when i decided not to enter in this challenge untill i saw the other two photos i pulled from my camera on deadline day but i cant show that outtake because it would give away my entry.:o)

Mug - would have done better with a different mug but as you said you did not have one. A glass might have worked better too.

Peace Sign - pretty cool

Sand - would have been so so, not very interesting. However, if you had made wholes in the form of a constellation (Orion, Big Dipper, etc) that'd have been pretty cool.

Shells in Pepper - cool shot, colors look a little over saturated. But I think it'd have done pretty well.

I went to a state park that I knew had beaches with different colors of sand. It was pretty late and the light was failing when I spotted three oranges that were being devoured by gulls.

How do you think it would have done in the challenge? What would you have scored it? Any suggestions on how to improve it with Basic editing are appreciated.

Bump. I'm about a quarter of the way thru voting in Granular and now I wish I'd entered my shot.

I took this yesterday. Wish I had taken it in time for the challenge. I don't think there were really that many sand dune pictures entered. What do you think?

very nice lighting and DOF in this photo. I'd frame it differently perhaps, by cropping out the dark wedge with the tree and make it vertical.

Hi,

I uploaded it to a server and then used the "Insert Image" button above the text box (the one right next to the "Italics" button) to link to it. Hope that helps.

had a bunch of ideas wich i did not use in the end
this is one..maybe should take this idea further (ever)
just to create some simple graphics with these pieces of sandpaper
i expected much more sandpaperpics (one of the reasons i did not take it further) in this challenge
