| How can I become a Site Council. What are the responsibilities? What are the benefits? |

Thanks. But the thread only gives the details of the four new members. It does not answer my question. Qualifications Required? Responsibilities?? Perks???

Um, qualifications are essentially participation in the site, a decent understanding of the rules, the ability to get along well with others and a willingness to volunteer a bunch of time.
Responsibilities are voting on the DQ requests, kind of patrolling the forums to answer questions and keep things on track, discussing ways to improve the site and being aware of what the users want.
Perks are a free membership and a special icon. :) |

I have a theory that the SC all talk to each other on the telephone to orchestrate their responses, and that I was blackballed from SC in the last go-around becuase I'm deaf. (My being a newcomer to the site can't have anything to do with it, right?) So I'm preparing a lawsuit based on the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), and we can expect major turnover in SC soon. No need to wait for people to die...
And Ken, if you make a woodie with a hearing aid in it I'm gonna sue YOU too...

Dude, calm down. There will be no sueing of anyone -- you come here on your own free will and accord. If you don't like it, you are free to leave. I'm sure you weren't chosen just because you may happen to be deaf -- so just calm down already geez. Oh by the way, I'm just kidding.

You're welcome to sue me but it wouldn't be very worth your while.
However, the minute talking to each other on the phone becomes a requirement, I'm quitting SC and you can have my position and use a relay center. I hate talking on the phone. |
