Great movie... I am not quite sure what the meaning of the movie is though yet. I think I need to watch it again and pick up any missing pieces.

it's just bringing true to life stories about racism in america, but not as a documentary, an actual storyline follows throughout its entirety. i loved it. i may go see it again.

I loved the one commercial i saw for it - 2 black guys walking down the street, and one says to the other "Shouldn't we be afraid? I mean, all these white people and we're the only black folks" and the second guy responds "Nah, we got the guns."

I am not sure what it is about either, but it is on my list to see. I may have to wait for the DVD...I never get to theaters. Last one i saw there was Ocean's Twelve, and before that Perfect Storm...

LOL. Oh it covers all of that and more. What I love about this movie is that it targeted everyone and showcased that even people who have been discriminated upon, has their own stereotypes against others aswell. Latinos, Mexicans, Arabs, Persians, White, Black, Asians, etc. Each characters have their moments of ugliness and moments when you see where they're coming from and you actually feel for them. The movie hits you right in the face from the very scene and dialogue.

See it seems to obvious to be just about racism. I really feel that is more of a social commentary in a movie that is more about human relationships and interactions. I think there is more emphasis on this than racism. I was listeningto NPR today and they were discussing this movie and they said the same thing about it being all about the racism, but I really think the relationships between the cop and his dad, the locksmith and his daughter, and the husbands and wives were more the main theme, while racism played a secondary role. It is less like Do the Right Thing (Spike Lee), and more like CLoser or Million Dollar Baby (by same writer as Crash) Million Dollar Baby was about human relationships with social commentary about right to life...
