They are kind of fun, but a bit hap-hazard in look/feel. I'd suggest being safe and sane, park the car and experiment either hand held or better yet on a loosely set tripod (so you can swing freely, but with a solid foundation). Experimentation is great with digitals, no expensive developing/film costs. So go for it!!! (Just don't kill yourself trying)

yeah swash,
i like the hap-hazard thing. i do the tripod thing all the time, this is just an evoloution of an accidental shot. i work 4pm-4am, so i pose little threat to other motorists. i am just getting a hold on some compositional control with it. thanks.

You know what would be cool is if you stick three or more together on one picture. Very interesting pictures. Keep that imagination rolling.

if you look in my portfolio, i have done a few. this was my MO w/ conventional photography, though I shot little in color. i am really enjoying the flexibility and immediacy of digital for now. Thanks for the feedback.

I think I like five, eight, nine, and twelve best -- the simpler ones which look "more planned."

I also shoot a lot of pictures on the move, including this one of Coasters at Magic Mountain, and this one of a speeding BART train.

I love light movement photos they are wonderful abstracts. Yours are good just don't have an accident taking them.

Thanks -- I'm trying to pick my spots carefully, but traffic out here is pretty crazy sometimes (like at all times except Sunday mornings...)

My favorites are the simple ones with detectable patterns.
