Also find it interesting that apparently the "1" voter(s) did read the title of the image which made the whole thing pretty apparent. |

I was the one that made the comment about giving a 1 to a boat. See my winking smiley? I WAS NOT SERIOUS! You all are way to serious!
I have voted and commented on over 100 images in this challenge. 2 were boats. 1 was reins. About 85 of them were push pins. Not one image I commented on received less than a 4. Many received 9s and 10s. Why? Because this was a GREAT challenge with some great images for having less than 24 hours to shoot, edit, and post. And I recognize that. I really could care less what's in the image. If the photographer thinks it fits, good enough for me.
In accidental letters some voted down set up shots that weren't taken outside under the light of the full moon. In the abandoned building challenge some are voting down B&W images of anything less than an entire building or anything more than a building filling the frame. GEEEZ! What happened to allowing a photographer to interpret a concept their way? I thought the hint would be gotten from the Rubber Duck Challenge. It just seems to have made it worse. The Challenge interpretation control people fought over 1 or more people in the people challenge that hasn't even started, Spring and Fall in the Free Study, and whether you need rocks AND/OR Scissors AND/OR paper and how they are going to score less than all of the above. ARGH! Let us be creative! Let us develop our thoughts and visions of what a challenge should be - not impose yours!
Lighten up! And now I will lighten up. And get back to commenting on all those great, funny, wonderful, tackful and tackless images in the TACKS challenge.

Courtenay I wish you would vote and comment on my Abandoned Buildings photo. It could use some of that type of thinking right now. |

Don't take it personally dahkota, you've been getting a rough go of it today. I have caught bits and pieces of your day on the threads.
I've caught others snippets of voters down scoring for silly reasons in comments and on the threads. If DPC er's could heal the world's ills, it would probably already have been done.
Is everyone getting a little testy out there? Big Challenge responses? pressure to vote and comment on every image? ... Unless all you do is vote and comment, you'll surely be disappointed. Your families will miss you and you'll probably get fired from work.
I've voted on 493 of 494 (80 comments)in Abandoned Buildings, All of Extreme Action, All of Tacks. Don't have all the commenting done, and probably won't have time to finish. There is a life beyond the computer screen. (LOL) |

This is a personal best for me, hoping it stays above a 6 still the end, that would be a major milestone for me....keeping fingers crossed. |

This is a way personal best for me so far. The comments have been great, and have made the work I put into it totally worth it, regardless of my final score.

The comments were all encouraging, so I can only assume that the people who didn't comment either didn't get it, or thought it was rubbish.
Still it beats my average. |

No actual (virtual) ribbon so you'll have to pretend. and yes, as I understand it, it's all about poop. |

Well it looks like I lost out on plural for not having more then one...and now I lost out on Income Tax relations. Does it matter Income tax day was my birthday?
Hopefully when the new members challenge comes out tonight....it won't involve deadly sharp objects.
Just a word of warning their isn't much I wouldnt do to get a picture. I mean legally I wouldn't do anything bad....but if it involves pain or gross stuff I am right up their. |

More views in the tacks......but more actual votes in the Abandoned Blds. I know their were 3 times the number of submissions their, just seems a bit strange though.
Does anyone get a simular pattern? Or in past challenges have you recieved alot of views and translated into higher scores? |

Abandoned buildings is a basic challenge, anyone can vote. Tacks is advanced, a member challenge, so many of the viewers cannot vote.

Robt., 5.00 is middle of the road, 5.7 is pretty doggone good (at least for me)! Very curious about the comments though. Usually get about one for every 20 votes if the image is scoring well. |
