Constantine's Version of Bohemian Rhapsody was by far the best performance of the competition to date!
Unbelievable!

do you still like bo Buzz?
04/12/2005 09:08:13 PM · #3
I still like to see Bo win, but to be honest, I didn't like the Freebird cover. Thats a favorite song for me, and I don't think he did it too well.

I loved the "Love is a Battlefield" cover... And yes.. I agree with you on the Bohemian Rhapsody.

But damn, Constantine really had a great performance, I wish I had TIVO. I'd watch it again right now.

You are gonna love it, its so much better than last week--
And then in the end you will agree that Constantine Rocked.
BTW my 2nd fav was scotty the body, just cuz I love the song he did, even though he was kinda sketchy on the low notes..

Scott and Constantine were right on tonight. I think Scott was the biggest surprise - he really came out prepared!

I think the blonde guy. (Cant remember his name - what does that tell ya.) will be the one going home even though he got a good review from the judges. I think Scott gets the heart and sympathy vote. He has that underdog thing nailed.

I hope the blond guy goes!....I know the judges didn't like Nadias performance but she is definetly one of my favorites, so hope she stays

I think the problem Scott is going to have is people who don't understand music, don't understand the kinds of risks he takes every week with his songs. I don't remember the last time he sang a "safe" song. Almost everything he sings is technically challenging.

Constantine definately was the best tonight. Anwar has got to go soon. He sounds the same every week. He's got a good voice, but shows no versatility.

My wife and I seem to be the opposites of the judges. We think Nadia or Carrie should win it. Nadia is awesome every week, yet they hardly ever like her. She has the voice, the style and stage presence. Carrie is awesome too - her voice is the best of all of them. But I don't think she will win because she is so country (I love country though).

We can't stand Anwar - we always fast forward through his songs (Thanks ReplayTV!). Yet he is one of the judges' favorite.

I love Freebird......although I think Bo did a good job with it....he just could have done so much better. On the Idol Freeway, he was doing only a couple MPH aboove the limit when he should have been driving like a maniac.

I think the kid with the hole in the neck needs to go next.

Scott's low notes were really hard to listen to, but he nailed the rest.

Kudos for Carrie for steppin' out, but she's been better in the past shows.

The one that's really coming on strong is Vonsell (sp?). She is really putting it all out there.

Am I the only one that hates it when the contestants eyeball the camera then attempt to follow it to the side with their eyes? I hate that!

I'm so proud of Paula!

My friend and I swear that Paula is stoned every week on Idol. I cant stand her any more. Her opinions mean nothing because she loves everyone, and she gets on my nerves the way she wont let Simon speak without jumping all over him. He doesnt do that to her. I'm not saying that I agree with Simon all the time (although, frankly, I do most of the time.) I favor Bo or Constantine to win, although I dont think they are the best vocalists. I love them both, though. I think Carrie probably has the strongest voice, but not the "star quality". Scott has GOT TO GO. He does take risks, but he needs to stop because they make him sound bad. He couldnt hit the low notes at all last night... now the higher notes ROCKEd, but ya gotta be able to do both! Geez.. I didnt know I was so opinionated.

Most of the time I agree with Simon - he tells like it is in the real world (what it would take for any of the Idol contestants to make it as a singer, albums, etc..). It IS very annoying when he gets shut down and not allowed to finish his thoughts.

Constantine, Vonzell, and Carrie were my favorites this week, in that order. Nadia is a cool character, and she can sing. Bo's version of Freebird just wasn't good enough for such a beloved song. If any of these 5 win, I can see people buying their CD's, because they have a sound and a presence and a personality.

Anwar & Anthony can sing, but I can't figure out their persona's - I just don't see them going all the way. And Simon really doesn't like Anthony.

Scott - the problem is, he's only getting half the song right. He screwed up the beginning of the song big-time, and when he hit the notes later he smoothed out the crispness of the vocals as H&O originally did it. It sounded like a nice karaoke to me - good enough for 8th place, but not to win. And that snide comment after Simon's input - "I'm up here, you're not, America" kinda thing, I think that lost him votes in the 5-6 figures range.

I would agree that Paula is on something. And she's offering no feedback that helps the singers improve. On the other hand, she comes across as someone who you might be able to stand being with, moreso than Randy & Simon - which might be her goal in this whole thing anyhow. (Goal would be to be visible and someone the public admires.)

On a more positive note, I think it's great how much better Constantine has gotten now that they're to the part (Top 12 & up) where they have voice coaches working with them. His voice control has really improved.

I agree with the fact that Paula has to be on something, meds or stoned or something. Her opinions mean nothing, she is not constructive or helpful in any way. She annoys me the way she hangs on, touches the face of, and kisses a married man, Simon. She also cuts him off all the time. Like someone else said, I might not agree with him all the time, but he has been in the biz a long time and his opinions are definitely more constructive and helpful that Paula's. I used to love her when I was in high school, but she just drives me insane. Did you see her standing last night thrusting her hands in the air like she was riding a roller coaster? and doing the dog woof woof thing? please Paula... spare us...

and I think that Anthony, hole in his throat, blonde guy is WAY overdue to go, then Nadia and Scott. I want Bo to win and Constatine to come in 2nd. Constatine has minimal vocal talent but lots of stage presence, while Bo has both. Bo can Blow, its that simple. Freebird wasnt that great, but even Clay Aiken had a few bad nights.

BO TO WIN!!
