Some of my female friends have named my camera "girthy" because, as they like to joke, the width and length of the lens is something that I'm using as compensation for something else!
haha, nice topic question

I personally haven't give my camera a name, but I have heard my wife call it a few different things.

Another DPC member named mine "Rockie" and his have names also. I came home one day from a photo shoot and was all excited over my new camera and how great I thought the images were right out of the camera and he wasn't having such a great day photographically with a new camera. So my camera "rocked" that day!

I don't have a name either, and as many have noticed, spouses often do have their own names for our cameras. Cross-linked thread here.

Hey crank2o, your profile lists the kit lens (18-55mm) as the one you own... Better get at least a 75-300mm, so that you can impress your friends even more, LOL.

I had a name for my Fuji 6900Z, it was called Heapa!!

Everytime I took a shot for a challenge then viewed it on the PC I said, you really are a Heapa!

The 300D took over that mantle, til I realised a lot of it was me...

Yes I must admitt it was me that gave your camera it's name. LOL
But the truth of the matter is that you started the camera nameing thing with your other camera the FZ 20 which you called "FUZZY" which I found to be very funny. I will let that part of the story slide and let fellow DPC'ers fill it in on there own !
I had just picked up the 20D around that time and was in the learning CURVE and you had just came back from a trip with your hubby down south with some great shots.I have a print of one them on my wall !I had said that camera rocks and you should call it Rockie cause it would be better than "Fuzzy"

But then I had figured out the 20D somewhat better a few days after that and sent you a couple of pics and you had refered to the 20D as some new drug that I was on and then YOU Named my 20D "Druggy"! Then I named the Rebel 300 Rebby .That is the story of my two camera's having the names Druggy and Rebby! I am LMAO right now KYLE

My current camera has no name. My faithful, Sinar-P 4x5 view camera/companion went by the name "Henry". Long story...

My two 10Ds are 'hosses', specifically 'Da Wide Hoss' and 'Da long Hoss'. My friends 1D Mark II is 'Da Beast', her 20D is 'Da Lady's Hoss' or, sometimes, 'Side Saddle'.
Her 300D is 'Rookie'.
