Well...thanks for folks who liked the candid shot last week.

My original entry was just going to be a horse (the 'Mane Attraction' photo) but I thought I would get hammered on the candid aspect.

Anyways..some good outtakes of my trip to the local stables where they do 'Bullriding' and 'Show Jumping' on the weekends.

Enjoy......Candid Outtakes

These are all great. I loved your shot to begin with, but the rest are some really nice shots. Great points of view and the clarity and color is really nice. Good work.

Hokie:

I love "Mane Attraction." I would have voted this pretty high even though it is of an animal. Generally I don't see "candid" in animal photos but, this one prooves me wrong. You have caught this horse in the very candid act of being himself.

Ps: I did not make any "does not fit challenge" comments last week....LOL

You kept the right photograph. I gave you a ten. I only gave two tens and one was yours. I liked your image it should have done better.

I agree with the others Hokie -you picked the best one. I really liked your photo - one of my top picks of the week.

I just wanted to say thanks for all the votes this past week. Here is my alternate. Still not sure which I should have entered, but third place isn't something to sneeze at. Thanks again!

Concept,
I think you made the right choice. Even though that outtake is great the original shot had much more of an impact on me and it was composed very well. It was my top pick for the challenge. Great work.

I'd call this a candid far-out-take. It's not digital, but it has a (perhaps) interesting/amusing story...but I'm curious what folks think of it photograpically first -- in the context of the "CANDID" challenge.

The one 'unhappy camper' makes this candid in my book, and a great shot as well. I like broken patterns. But I honestly doubt it would have worked here.

My candid outtakes are:

Teresa

Chad

Both of these are straight out of the camera, resized only. All comments/critiques are appreciated (if you're a Photosig user please leave the critique on the photo page).

Thanks!

I added a few of my candid outtakes to my photolog today.

The first three photos were taken for the challenge... the last two were just snapshots that are somewhat candid.

This one wasn't very "artsy", but I thought it was fun:

I think either one would have placed at least 3rd.......Keep up the good work
