Gave a try at dodging and burning, at a photo I took yesterday while shooting for the Free study challenge.

How's it?

Too much! ...but it's a nice shot :)

It almost looks like a photocopy. White and black with no tones in between. The original looks much better. It just needs those white breaks in the trees cloned out.

Try and dodge and burn at small levels at first.

By that you mean?

Small areas?

Small levels means set the exposure low. Start with between 5% and 10%. Stroke repeatedly to achieve the desired effect.
