Hi Everyone,

I was hoping you can give me some thoughts on this photo and tips for improvement. Thanks!

Tis is really meat! I had a cat that was all white with one blue eye and one green eye. Very nice photo! :)

Those eyes are one of the neat things about the breed. Natural color punch of the eyes and tongue are a plus... background is a bit odd - enough detail to make me wonder what it is but it takes my eye off your charming subject. Red tris make wonderful subjects

Aussies, my favorite breed. I've had 3.

I've been around Birds too long, I didn't realize that the eye color was natural... Spooky

One of her eyes is blue and the other, at the time, was a green color (now it has turned brown). I boosted the saturation a lot for effect. Do you think I overdid that?

I took this photo at the beach on a very sunny day- the backgrounded ended up being a little over-exposed. I couldn't really bring it back with photoshop so I decided to over-expose it more. Do you think I should just white it out as if she's on a white backdrop and leave her shadow?

I have 5 aussies =) You'll be seeing lots of pics of them in the future - they're my best models.

Just a little bit. Looks alien. I raised Leopard dogs for a while and I know the eyes don't come in neon.

I was going for something dramatic... however, do you like this one better or is it still alien-like? Thanks!

I think the bg is too bright

Hi - Cool looking dog. I like the saturation on the first photo much better, the eyes just pop out at you. That gets lost in the second (edited) image you've posted. Why don't you layer the dog and apply the same saturation (and/or other edits) to just the dog to bring out the color. I do like the background much better in the second posting and would hate to see that go. Also, regarding the sand, have you tried adding some contrast to it (invert the dog selection and promote the sand to a new layer), maybe drop the brightness a tad too. Combine the contrasted sand bg with the color enhanced dog and I think it will look great! Have fun!

I like the second image best. I think I would make the green eye pop out more and tone down the blue one a little since it's the one closest to the viewer. THe eyes would look more even that way. But, maybe you are going for that effect.

Also, I do not think that there is anything wrong with the background, I could tell right off that the dog was on a beach. It was not a bit distracting.
