After looking at all the pictures, and the lack of comments on my submission, it only leaves me wonder... Why a 4.9, why did i get (2) 2's and (1) 1? no one left any comments, and if this site is all about improving one's picture taking skills, isint it a dis-service, especially when you give such a low score (below 4 i would assume), to not add coments, even if its:I dont think that this picture pertains to the current challenge

I assume that a picture that ends up at 4-5 do not get many comments. It's been a constant to me, as most of my entries end up at high 4's and low 5's (with exception of my 1970s entry). Only the highest rated and the lowest ones get to have the comments! It's not 100% true but, that's how it usually works!

| I don't know if you can generalize on comments. I got a 5.044 on lines with 11 comments. Slyy...As far as your photo; Its an interesting abstract. It meets the challenge. I had to look at it for a bit to figure out what it is, probably a good thing. Problems with the image imo, The convergece of the leaves would be a focal point for me, and it is outside the top of the image. Also I find the leaves at the top of the image to be distracting. Also, I don't agree with the premise of your title, implying that this photo is better in black and white than in color. I think it would have been better in color...maybe. Not a bad score for your first challenge. |

Well, I got a 5.103 with 3 comments only....... it does happen to "average" rated photos!
