An accident occurred in Germany. My friend who is vacationing there witnessed it and took this photo. This may be a bit unsettling, so DO NOT open if you can not stomach a horrific accident scene. There were only a few survivors. It brought tears to my eyes. PHOTO

Oh my god! That is horrible... I can't even think of how many people this will effect...

Oh the humanity. The loss is overwhelming. All are in my thoughts.

It's hard to believe tragedy like this is still happening in the world today. You can send a man to the moon, but you can't stop things like this from happening. Such a shame. Where are the world leaders during a crisis like this?

That's awful...are you even sure that the site rules allow you to post this?

Glass everywhere, broken necks...this leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Are there any hard numbers on the casualties yet?

hahahaha there was a newfie joke going around like that last year this time, but with Molson Canadian bottles. One time, I too dropped a full box of beer. Broke one, had a memorial service for it.

Such loss and yet... I feel no emotion whatsoever. Perhaps it's my cold, cold heart...

Can I have the rest of your sandwich? It will go good with one of the survivors.

Reminds me of when the distillery in Kentucky accidentally emptied its vats into the river, and the river caught on fire. True story.

I studied the photo closely and it appears many of the victims are foaming at the mouth!

The funny thing is that I was also having breakfast when I got the email and didn't want to open it yet. I wasn't even sure if I wanted to see it. So It wasn't until later on that I decided to take a peak with one eye half open and discovered the carnage. So I guess, in the end, I was as morbidly interested as the rest of you freaks :)

As a follow up, I found this photo of people grieving and consoling family members.

Breaks my heart. :(

That's some interesting mourning-wear!

Sackcloth and ashes for some, green and purple stripes for others...to each their own!

Man you guys I have a weak stomach & it took me a few mins to build up enough courage to look at that & even then just like Tim I only did with one eye.
It was much much worse that I had anticipated. Thanks, I just had lunch
