I made a few tweaks based on comments received. Any suggestions from here? The top one is the new one.

Can you adjust levels to lighten the midtones a touch more? Better without the loss of the highlights but seems a touch dark in the midtone areas.
Also... I liked the duotoning.

Thje overall rendering is much better, but the image is too flat now. You need to get more life into the midtones while not sacrificing the bright areas or the shadow areas. I tried to fiddle with it but the posted image is too small to work with. Point me to the original if you like and I'll see what's possible.
