Just so everyone knows I just got through voting on this challenge and didn't enter it. There is some great talent on this website. I have 4 - 10's which are new favs. of mine and 3 9's. Good work guys.

Still not bad score, lots of good comments, but ive been told several people that it doesn't meet the challenge, it has lines in the shot, lots of them, some very prominent...oh well, got to quit worrying about the masses and be happy with what I shot, I just love this photo.

Eck... about a minute after my first post in this thread my score started to plummet from a mediocre 5.000 to now a 4.8xx.... I believe I've jinxed myself. DOH!!!

The masses of DPC voters want wires, railroad tracks, pencil marks, etc. If your image does not contain some manmade lines, forget it, they can't see lines unless hit on the head with them.

To answer your question Jason, it seems to be that photos that fall in the 4-5 range usually seem to get very little comments. Just seems to be the way it goes around here. And I speak from experience. :-)

I can only agree. But I still give credit to it. It's just a reflection of how the universe you live in works.

Well, you may be right. I have been blaming my lousy scores of late on my interpretation of the challenge. I thought this one would be refreshing. After all, how do you miss on a "Lines" challenge. Every photo has lines! Silly me. Either natural lines aren't good enough or I have a vastly different view of what makes a good photo. Currently up to 4.9 with what I think is a great shot.

IT SUCKS... I found an error I am getting marked down for that I could not see on my Sh#tty monitor. An easy fix too. Still doing better than most of mine usually do but I cant help to wonder how it would have done.
