I was thinking, and still do, that this should be a high scoring image. It seems I am the only one. Oh well there is still hope.

Don't sweat it Darren. There's nothing wrong with being different! Just make sute you're happy with what you submit. The only way to differentiate yourself from others is by being different right?

ok, I just got a comment that kinda makes me mad, kinda confuses me...says that the pic is out of focus (part of it is..the "subject" is focused) and that the background is too cluttered (Its black!)...some people already giving 1-s, I really didnt think it was all THAT bad!!

I'm hanging in there...first challenge for me in a while. I personally like the shot but I was thinking it wouldn't do as well as it currently is.

| Don't know whats happening here. After 35 votes my score is about 4.2 on one of the finest images I have ever produced. My average is over 5.2. Looks as if the voters have suddenly taken a hard line (pun intended)!! |

I am actually very happy with this score so far. I think my shot will be considered borderline for meeting the challenge, so I almost unsubmitted it at the last minute. Considering that some people will feel it does not meet the challenge, I expected low fives. My goal is to score 6.0 or higher, but I chose to enter this shot anyway because I like it alot!

this happened to me too once: people were commenting on something in the background whic I thought was totally black. Some monitors are way brighter than others, and what may seem pitch black to you can actually contain ghosts for other people. crank the brightness of your image way up to check if indeed there is NOTHING in the background. |

Trolls. Seriously, I am a good sport. If people want to vote low, hey, I'm cool with that. However, I think this picture is much better than anything I have submitted to date. I'd like to see that score go up. At least a 6. The composition, lighting, subject, so many elements, so much involved and came out well according to the guidance I have picked up on since coming to this site.
