Maybe I've missed something, but what's the point of the current poll?

people get curious

i think it is to see how many left handed people there are and to see if the amount has anything to do with creativity

check out this recent thread...Left-handed

Shouldn't we do some research to find out if left- and right-handed people are equally likely to respond to on-line polls? =]

And a survey to find out if ribbon-winners are more, or less, likely to respond to polls than the unwashed hordes... This is gonna be a very unscientific sampling LOL.

very being the key word.

No no no, not at all.

What we'll find out is that most people who win ribbons are right handed.

A perfect scientific finding ..... and we can quietly ignore the fact that most people are going to be right handed anyway and that just might bias the results a little ;)

We need a poll to ask if we are colorblind, and if we have won any ribbons for color photos or b/w photos or both?

It was submitted to the admins as a "fun poll."

The ambidextrous seem to be ahead percentage wise. More then 1/2 are ribbon winners where only 1/3 of the left and right handed respondents claim to have won a ribbon.

True enough, but then again they get to use both hands..... that would be a distinct advantage would it not...

p=0.247 by chi-square (@ n=571) so no significant differences have emerged yet. Ben

That settles it - I'm going to start taking pictures with both hands from now on. :-)

This poll reminds me of the crazy (and useless) sports stats. Like a baseball player has never struck out on the 5th of August, with the bases loaded, during a night game, when the moon was full, while the Goodyear blimp was flying over the stadium. :)

Did that already. Didn't help me at all LOL (see separation entry, taken with left hand, camera held upside down, shutter depressed with thumb heehee)

Is someone going to control for gender?
After all, the incidence of sinisterism is higher among males than females.
It's my impression that there are more males here--are you "guys" also more, or less, likely to check the little radio button?
If the poll shows that it is more likely for a left-handed guy to win a ribbon, should I just give my camera to my husband and go back to cooking?

--Signed, a right-handed gal with no ribbons who doesn't think she's color blind. ;)
