Well, I just gave my $11.50! :-) I would've only given $5.75 if the camera wasn't a Nikon!! LOL!!!

You got my $5.75. Remember... cameras take better pictures when they're given by other photographers.

What? Have you been alive for the past year or two!?!

As a Canadian, the exchange rate hasn't been this good in a while!

This year I bought a Canon 100mm 2.8, 17-40mm L, 28-135 IS all from B+H. I saved almost half price on all items even with the exchange rate and shipping.

I'm still in denial that the exchange rate is good... we need $ for $.

(the only way I was able to buy all thats is that the exchange rate has been good)

I wouldn't go back to that financial institution,,, they snookered you. The going rate today would be approximately 1.23%. They must have dinged you a boatload for admin fees.

I think Lisa is probably still sleeping. Time zone and all.

Damn! I just got back on from last night and you all have already met the goal. I posted a commitment very early on (second poster) but looks like this group is just too generous.

I'll go check out ""Cameras for All” to see if I can still participate in at least something. Great job!

I just got through the whole thread!!! I am so happy and proud to be a part of this site. I am sure my family will never undertand how "real" of a community is can be! You guys really took care of things fast. I am going to start crying now, I think.

Thanks for all the PMs. I would love to answer each of them personally, but if I were to do that, considering how many I have received, I would be here till late into the afternoon. It is great what you all have done. We have enough money, so those of you who have contacted me to know if there is anything else you can do thank you so much for the offer. Something will come up in the future I’m sure. Here is the link to Lisa’s new camera

Does she need a memory card, or is that included?

Good question. Maybe I can get involved on that. What kind of card does the camera take that she bought? I have plenty of compact flash cards sitting around.

The camera has internal memory and this is not much different then the camera she had so she probably has one.
