Starts March 10th.

Cnet

I just signed up for it and will tell when I am done how well it was. I just wanted to share it in case anyone else is like me and not real good at Photoshop. Maybe you would like to sign up and learn. Free to learn right.

I'd have loved to try it, but I've only got elements 1. Somehow I don't think I'll be able to keep up. Sigh...

Anyone know what these 'sponsored emails' that I have to agree to receive before I can sign up for this 'free' class?

Know nothing about them. Do you have a alternate e-mail you can give them such as a e-mail used only to register online for things. You will have to give them a valid e-mail address because you have to verify through your e-mail once you sign up.

I've taken many of them, in fact recently completed Advanced Photoshop Techniques. The courses are very basic, and like many supplied or free computer learning manuals, don't go into very much depth.

On the other hand, I have learned a lot from them, but then find that I look elsewhere for more information. H-P also has lessons like this; they're similar.

Hi folks,

Here's a similar one on photoshop. You have to register, but it's free. It has already started so you'll have a few back lessons to play with.

If you go to the main page you'll find plenty of short web courses on many different topics.

Carlos.

Edit: this the HP stuff Steve mentioned while I was writing ;-)

Almost every one of them are from cNet; they are selling learning CDs (the $50 to $70 ones) that they create. I get about 2 to 3 of these emails a week.

At least I got a few people to join. Even if it is a very vague class at least I will learn something right.

You can just unsubscribe from those e-mails if you find that you don't like what they're offering. Enjoy the class!

Someone asked previously if persons like myself with only PS Elements could join and I have not yet seen a response.

Is there somewhere I could check as I truly would love to improve the images I submit to the challenges.

I'm sure the class would help you with Elements. You may have to figure out different ways to do a few things but all in all it should be easily transferable to Elements.

Just finished my first lesson and it was the standard stuff, can't wait to get the next leeson. To the question about using Photoshop Elemnts it says you can but you won't be able to do all the lessons.

For those of you that didn't sign up you can still do so. Course is just starting.
